I spent five weeks in the Philippines this past summer and although not as nice as Bangkok, a good time was had there. Don't waste your time at any of the Go-Go clubs. They do have a lot of pretty hot chicks, but the bar fine is outrageous. They wanted 3600 pesos ($80 US) for the bar fine, and the girl was only charging 2000 pesos ($45 US) for the entire night. On top of that, many of the girls don't even go home with you, they just work for their cut of the over priced "girl drinks". Once we checked out the LA Cafe we never went anywhere else.It is wall to wall whores. Most about a 5 or 6, but if you diligently turn away the old, nasty ladies and ugly chicks you will find the better ones, and the occasional 7 or 8. For the best pickings, pay the extra five bucks and go upstairs where the live band is playing. It weeds out the bad ones. (They have to pay to go upstairs as well) A few nights we would not see anything great and just go home, but that is what happens after spending too much time down in Asia. You start to get really picky. The girls at LA Cafe generally charge anywhere from 1500 to 2000 pesos depending on your negotiating skills. A lot would not mention a price until it is over and then just answer the "how much question" with, "whatever you think is right." I would usually give those girls 1000. I have vacationed in Philippines every year, from 1993 up to now. I have passed very good moments in Manila and in Angeles city. But now I count you, what happened to me in August of the 2006.We arrive in Manila, we left to the hotel and of the hotel (in the neighborhood of Ermita) leave to L.A. CAFE. In L.A. CAFE I found an old friend that I invited to the hotel and when we leave L.A. CAFE and we went walking down the street stop us a van and leave some dressed men of policemen. They tell me that they go me to apply the norms against the prostitution and they will stop 4 days in the prison. I tell them that I don't want problems and they answer me that they leave me if I pay them 500 €, for my, more 200 € for the girl.I paid and then I found out that in Makati they had made it with other many tourists. The following day I met with my girlfriend and I commented her that I had suspicions that those men were really policemen and she commented me that she had noticed and that those men took guns to the belt. Manila is a city made up of several smaller cities that escalated into Metro Manila. This place is an impact to your psyche... the city can be everything to everyone. It’s Paris on steroids.I arrived on a very early flight, then went to my hotel - the Pan Pacific Hotel in Malate, part of Manila. Malate is part of the city’s older section and borders Manila Bay. The hotel staff were a bit pissy about checking in early and wanted an extra day’s rent. I ended up agreeing on paying half a day, if breakfast was thrown in. It kind of blew my mind when I entered the dining room. I notice these old guys showing up, sitting at different tables, with these beautiful young 18 - 19 year old chicks, and I mean good-looking. I thought to myself... I’ve come to the right city.Since the Chinese have been living in the Philippines for hundreds of years, many Filipinos are a mix of Chinese and Malayan that make for very beautiful girls, and they also speak English. Spend 4 months there this summer and have to admit that felt like going to heaven at last! Travel almost 5-6 months every year and have been in Indonesia and Thailand the year before but in my humble opinion Philippines is the place to go! Decided to go there after reading positive posts on this side especially talking into account the extremely affordable rates in PI. After researching this side decided to concentrate on LA Café in Manila.
All that was said extensively on this side about LA Café was true! We are talking about 50-100 completely independent girls every night on two levels. In bar setting on the 1st floor open 24 hrs usually meant for the older or more lazy traveler and disco on 2nd floor open from 9pm till 3-4am depending on the night. Spend most of my time on 2nd level where the girls seem to be of little better quality and usually younger than the 25+ crowd downstairs!
Disco on the 2nd level is of good/very good quality so even if you are not in the mood for sex LA is still the place to go. As far as prices are concerned drinks are not cheap but reasonable comparing to other places, you will spend anywhere between 10-40$ per night depending on the amount of alcohol and food you can consume and number of girls you are entertaining! I will not go into details as far as what kind of girls work there since it was described quite well in one of previous posts 2-3 years ago.
All the girls are independent with prices ranging from 1000(or less if you bargain hard or pick medium quality) to 3000 pesos for few hours/whole night. I never paid more than 1500 peso for the night and later on never more than 1200 peso and I mean for the most beautiful girls in the room. Secret is simple you tell the girl what you want tell her you are willing to pay only as much and move on if she seems unsure or uninterested.
The choice is plentiful with ratios of between 3-10 girls per guy so the bargaining power is on your side. You have to keep in mind that there are two sections upstairs on the right side of stairs mainly for the Korean customers who usually pay more between 2000-3000. Some girls from Korean side will work with white clients but most are not really motivated since Koreans usually pay more and very important factor for some of the girls have much smaller dicks! If you really have to spend like 60-70$ a night just take 3 of them in LA and you as well as the girls will be happy!
Keep in mind that a cell phone is a must if you want to meet girls in off hours or are into friends/cousins scene! Was supposed to explore the Angels City or Cebu scene but never got down to it, the choice was just to big and decided that there is no need to explore other cities in PI when you had more than enough choices in Manila at affordable prices and at best quality as long as you did your screening well!
